Who are you talking to?

Cassandra Holt Kimbell, LPC-S, NCC is the owner and lead therapist at Freestyle Therapy LLC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Colorado, and an LPCC Supervisor in California. She is  currently a Doctoral Candidate working towards licensure as a Psychologist.

Cassandra is a trauma therapist certified in EMDR and offers consulting and supervision. With a lifetime as a musician, she is passionate about offering workshops and groups addressing mental health issues tailored to creative and entrepreneurial fields through a neurodivergent lens. She specializes in providing EMDR intensives to help people get relief from distress as quickly as possible, as well as affirming mental health assessments to help people get the answers they may be searching for related to their diagnosis and how their brain works. She utilizes an eclectic model, customizing her approach to best help the person she is holding space for at that moment. She utilizes neuro and trauma affirming CBT, Expressive Arts, and Somatic related approaches, collaborating with other practitioners to take a full person approach to trauma treatment. She focuses not only on the importance of individual therapy, but also creating a safe community around the client, believing every person deserves to feel they belong somewhere. With the lived experiences as an AuDHD human with CPTSD, Cassandra specializes in the intersection of these diagnosis- but takes an affirming strengths based approach vs. one of deficits.

Our Approach: The Intersectionality of You

We believe that everything that makes you who you are: your identity, your background, and your experiences influence how you move through the world. By taking an intersectional approach, we ensure that you feel seen and heard in your entirety. You know yourself better than anyone; our job is simply to help you find relief from distressing symptoms and feel like the best version of yourself as you navigate the "dumpster fire" of current times and the weight of systemic oppression.

You shouldn’t have to explain the nuances of your existence to start getting relief from trauma.

"Kimbell’s background as a musician gives her an instinctive ability to connect with people. Her sessions emphasize empathy, creativity, and a sense of safety—qualities that have become hallmarks of her practice.
